Interesting. He married my great aunt Katherine Shand. Third wife according to another record. I wondered how they had met. I do know my grandparents Edward and Bella Doube were in Te Kuiti for a short period before the birth of my mother. My uncle John Doube was born in Te Kuiti My mother was born n Waipukurau in 1916. So maybe Kate visited them and met him then???? Conjecture on my part. I believe I have Kates engagement ring. Must have been given to my grandmother Bella Doube. Kate died in 1958 in Auckland. I think he had three wives who all predeceased him
Definitely mistakes in this because my great aunt was his third wife.
First wife he married Jan 1916 in Hamilton and she died 1926 NSW.
2nd wife Evelyn May Ramsay he married 1929 in Burwood, NSW She died in Nelson 1931.
Married my great aunt 1932 and she died 1958
