About this objectNZ World War II ZC1 (Mark II) Transceiver/Field Radio. The ZC1 is a 2-6MHz, single band, CW, MCW and phone-capable transceiver, suitable for vehicle installation (jeep or radio truck) and/or field base operation. Although the MK II model was manufactured and sent to the Middle East and Europe, they arrived too late for active service in WW 2, A number did see service on the home front in NZ during the last months of the war, as well as with the NZ Occupation force (J Force) in Japan after WW 2. The ZC1 Mk II continued in service with the NZ Territorial Reserve forces until the mid 1960's.
