About this objectThese flags/banners are a commemoration of 150 years since the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. The Kotuku (White Heron) was the official symbol of the anniversary.
1. White background, white pole sleeve, loop on one end, red circle with white stylised heron, light blue sky and waves, black text "New Zealand 1990" and copyright symbol. Two flags in different sizes.
2. White banner, red circle with white stylised heron, black text "New Zealand 1990" and copyright symbol.
3. Dark blue background, white pole sleeve, loop on one end, red shield with white arc at top, white waves and stylised bird (?) and a yellow line running vertically. Two flags in different sizes.
